Aurora is a small practice working on brand identity, editorial, and the images that sit beside them. We keep a short client list and prefer slow, careful projects.
The studio was founded in 2015 and has stayed intentionally small ever since. We work with makers, galleries, and small publishers - people who care how a thing is put together and are happy to give it the time that takes. Every project is handled by the two of us from first sketch to final file, so nothing is lost in a handover.
We are not trying to be everywhere. A handful of good projects a year, done properly, has been a better measure of the studio than a longer list ever was.
Names, marks, and type systems built to wear well over years, not seasons.
Books, catalogues, and journals - typesetting, sequencing, and print supervision.
Studio and location work, plus an ongoing landscape series shot on film.
Bringing the pieces together so a brand reads as one voice across everything it touches.
Selected projects are shared privately on request rather than posted publicly - it keeps the focus on the work in front of us and respects clients who would rather not be a case study. If you would like to see something recent, tell us a little about your project and we will send a folio that speaks to it.
We take on new work in short seasons through the year, and usually plan a few months ahead.
A sentence or two about what you are making, and roughly when you would like to begin, is a perfect start. We read everything that comes in.
